The second viewing at a different hour: what the sun reveals
The first viewing shows the floor plan, the second shows the light. Orientation decides when the sun enters and how much it heats in summer, and that is not visible in a listing but by arriving at the right hour.
Why the hour is a data point
The Croatian coastal climate brings many hours of sunshine, so a western orientation means long afternoon heating in summer, while an eastern one means morning light and cooler afternoons.1
During heat waves, which the meteorological service tracks separately, the difference between the sunlit and the shaded side of a building becomes a difference in how usable rooms are.2
How to arrange the second viewing
If the first appointment was in the morning, make the second late afternoon: that is when you see where the sun actually reaches, which rooms heat up, and whether the terrace works or gets skipped.1

What to watch on site
Look where the neighbours' outdoor air-conditioning units sit: their density on one facade shows which side of the building works hardest in summer.2
