Croatia’s dwelling price index: read period and regions separately

Croatia’s latest statistical release is clearest when the period, dwelling group and regional classification are kept alongside each other.

Record the reporting period

On 2 July 2026, DZS published its dwelling price index for the first quarter of 2026. The overall index was 3.3% above the fourth quarter of 2025 and 14.3% above the first quarter of 2025.1

Note the index coverage

The index measures changes in market prices of dwellings purchased by households. It covers new and existing dwellings, and land value is included in the market price.1

Separate regions and publication

For presentation, DZS distinguishes the City of Zagreb, the Adriatic and the rest of Croatia. Its overview lists dwelling-price-index releases as quarterly publications, so the regional group and comparison quarter belong with every figure.1,2
